Hunter Clarkson of Couriercars and Fred Harvey were known for pioneering the art of commercial cultural tourism."Indian Detours"were meant to provide an authentic Native American experience by having actors stage a certain lifestyle in the desert in order to sell tickets to unwitting tourists. Dated May 1935. CONDITION Stapled pamphlet, folds lengthwise and opens with 2 column layout with paginanation to each column, pp 48 but in reality is 24 full size pages, photographic illus with headings and details in Orange, 2 full page maps and one half apge one. There is a 2 inch split at fold on top of the last 2 leaves else very moderate wear.
